You have no idea where my political views lie, nor could you possibly from the exchange we have had here. The only conclusion you could accurately draw is that I do not wish to see the Constitution ignored. I still do not know your views on this.

I agree something's fishy with the poll results. Freeped & BTTT.

I just voted and saw that it was only 18% for attacking Iraq. I'm against attack Iraq without congressional debate and authorization, but even so I don't believe 82% of the American people agree with me (they've never agreed with me on anything else). I think someone has posted messages on a liberal web site and they're all voting in the poll. Either that or the people who watch this Connecticut TV station are all rich yuppie liberals.

Well, the left-wingers of the ABC site that is holding this poll has decided to take matters into it's own hands and tilt the poll #'s. Overwhelming "NO's". This is my opinion and I'm entitled to it as I have no facts to prove it.
This is the signature of the Dem/Leftwing/wackjobs who take matters into their own hands when things don't go their way "legally" (ie. last election).
ps. Canadians and their socialist views do not serve their purpose here in the good ol' USA. The government is in every aspect of their lives. Comments from Winnipeg should be viewed in that context. He has enough problems in his own country and should FOCUS his attention there. I have grown tired of listening to him.

Best regards

Oh, really? An, how upset were you (seeing as how you're SOO worried about the infringemet of the Constitution) with the Florida Supreme Court, when they usurped the Constitution in order to give Gore & friends more time to steal the election. Not too upset I'd imagine.

No, you're right. It's funny.....this is my local news channel & when the poll doesn't meet their desire..they pull it. You also happen to be right on the mark with old Winnepegger.

Public opinion turned against the war when it became apparent it couldn't be won.

Not couldn't. America could have won in any given three-week period.

Although the USA is doing things outside the Constitution why stop now. For the past 150 years since Lincoln everything changed. Why believe the Constitution is to be any stronger now or in the future? What we must do is be like Andrew Jackson!!!!! Bust ass and take names later!!!! WOOT

Where do we draw the line?

We draw it in front of people with their heads in the sand like you.

Let me tell you a little tale. There once was a place called Jakarta. It was a peaceful lovely little place. That is until Terrorists started training there. That was back in the mid 80's. But it didn't stop there,.. OH NO.. they trained them, but they didn't KEEP THEM THERE. THEY SHIPPED THEM OUT.. To the Middle East, to the Phillipines, even to Bosnia and other places where they could prosper.

The line has been drawn. On ignorance.

We understand that if we don't take care of people spread out around the entire world, they will fulfill their mission. Can you guess what that mission is? I didn't think so.. it is to destroy AMERICA, ISRAEL and BRITTAIN!!

But you knew that right? Oh.. no,.. thats right.. you think we should stop and take two years to get an agreement every time our intelligence thinks they have uncovered a link. Or a threat. Thats right.. let our enemies be forwarned that we are coming.

Just so ya know, there are top secret meetings every day in this Nation. The Congress does know what is going on. That we don't leak it out to the media may dissapoint YOU,.. but I'm sure there are a few thousand parents who are glad we don't. It will be a happier Christmas for many of them thanks to the RESPONSIBLE leadership of this Administration.

My major concern is finding out WHO Leaked TOP SECRET information about out military plans. Then we need to try the person for treason!!

Even people with a mindset like YOU, will probably live to enjoy another day in this great country thanks to this administration. Even people like you..... ungrateful though you may be.

As I remember it (and I'm not a legal expert and was never quite clear on all the legal wrangling anyway) the US Supreme Court overturned the Fla SC because they ruled that the Fla SC denied due process to those whose votes hadn't been counted (because Al Gore is the only guy in history to contest an election only in districts he won).

This was the right decision for the wrong reason: the reason the Fla SC should have been overturned was because their decision was un-Constitutional because the Fla Sec of State had followed the law exactly. All the provisions for recounts had been met by Ms. Harris and the law followed.

Bottom line is that the Fla SC was wrong and acted un-Constitutionally, and the SCOTUS was right to overturn them. They just did it for the wrong reason.

(The reasoning is important because we now have a precedent for the SCOTUS getting involved in elections at the state level, which is dangerous. Justices Scalia and Thomas said this is in a concurrent opinion; they were the only two).

I apologize if my memory is faulty. It's been a while.

All that having been said, I'm not sure what that has to do with getting Congressional approval to go to war. Are you saying that because the SCOTUS overturned a bad state court decision that the Executive has the authority to ignore his Constitutional obligations? I don't follow...

Nuke Iraq before they nuke the USA

Nuke us with what? Even Netanuahu recently said Hussein won't have a missile capable of delivering a nuclear warhead against the United States for "10 to 15 years." It's Israel that Iraq is a threat to, not the United States. Which raises another question, if Saddam is such a big threat, why doesn't Israel take him out the way she took out his nuclear power plant in 1981? Israel has 400 nuclear weapons, neutron bombs, ICBMs, spy satellites, submarines, cruise missiles, the best fighter pilots in the world. She could take out Hussein in a single day and, futhermore, she doesn't need our help (or permission) to do it.
