With a mountain-size ego like Bin Laden had, there is no way (IMO), that he could stay incognito this long, unless the 72 (former) virgins are keeping him too busy.

Perhaps someone can shed some light on this for me....you die a martyr and you get 72 virgins. Thats cool. But what do you do the second week? And then, do you have to marry them? Because 72 wives, with synchronized hormones is NOT my idea of heaven. Can you get more virgins? I need some answers to these questions.

I have to agree with the mountain-sized ego part. Once a video star, always a video star.

But I would also pull out a bit of supporting evidence: The intelligence level of attacks has been way, way down since September 11th. From killing 3,000 people to 3? That's a 99.9% decline in effectiveness.

Would the mastermind behind the 11 September operation approve a plan using a single operative who was none too capable in a single location?

No, he's either dead or watching too much CNN has fried his brain.

I tend to agree. These "Bin-Laden-Is-Planning-An-Attack-For-X-Date" headlines we've been seeing are, I suspect, ginned up in the Arab press by Al-Quaeda refugees.

However, you can bet that our guys will be using bamboo under the fingernails and the old electric jumper cables on the privates to find out EXACTLY what these fine fellows know.
