Actually, I like his attitude. He puts politicians below Neanderthals.

A Google search on gore 3000 produces over 35,000 hits. VadeRetro gives 322 hits. PatrickHenry (no spaces) gives 1,700 hits. What does this all mean?

How many of them have the keywords "liar" or "dishonest" in them and how many are replies to him?

I think it means you need to get out more.

In other words, you lack an "intelligent response" because you realize that you were talking out of your ass and in reality have no clue about what you were saying. I understand. Maybe if you grow a pair you can cite my past remarks and then critique them. I've debated this subject on MANY threads. All you need to do is click my nick and search in forums. Until then, I consider you another irrelevant boob who makes presumptions about people based on scant evidence and derides people for daring to be religious, even when they're not. Good day, sir.

""Waaaaall ... Megaten Slim. What you doin' in the Seligon 8, sector two, section 7, Positively Last Chance Saloon & Matter Transference Portal?"

The decor was Early Interstellar. A sign in the window proudly proclaimed: "Next gas 4.2 light years."

A mucus-covered fungoid looked over at me and sneered: "We don't want your kind in here, Sapiens!"

"One of these days you'll evolve into something sentient," Slim sneered. He slapped a ten credit coin onto the bar. "Barkeep," he said to the two-and-a-half meter felinoid using its claws to pick dishwasher spots from a beer stein. "I need some information."

Gentlemen: another ad hoc fictional creation is being generated in this thread, starting with #625, then picking up a clue from #629, skipping over the blue stuff, then beginning for real at 648. Come on in.

"I'm sure a little exotic ... er ... kitty would be exciting," Slim stammered, "But right now I'm on the job. I'm looking for something. A client of mine -- let's call him LBB -- has lost his integrity. It was last seen in this sector. You wouldn't know anything about this, would you?"

"I think I know who you mean," she purred. "He's usually alone, except when he hangs out with the mucus-covered fungoid over there." She pointed with her tail at the slimy mushroom sulking in the corner. "No one else will talk with LBB. Hey, are you sure you wouldn't like a little bit of the, ah ... feline fuzzy wuzzy?"

"I'll keep that thought in mind," Slim said, sliding off his barstool and making his way toward the morose mushroom in the corner.

As Slim approached the oozing toadstool, he could hear it bubbling and gurgling. "Hey, slime-face," he said, "I hear you're a big-time buddy of LBB."

The mushroom responded in a voice that sounded like it was filtered through a bucket of phlegm: "What's it to ya, Sapiens?"

As Slim sized the fungus up, he thought back to his client. Yes, LBB was an unintelligent shade of the color blue with a vocabulary mostly consisting of the words "liar" and "slime" -- the latter probably being picked up from such folks as the fellow before him now -- a credit was a credit. Besides, this job held more promise than his last gig. During that episode he'd attempted, without success, to dredge up the credentials of the elusive Dr. Saturn.

"I don't like you," gurgled the fungoid. "And except for LBB, all you humanoids smell bad."

Slim smiled. "You think humans smell bad? You remind me of a busted cesspool in August. It's no wonder you like to hang around with LBB."

The mushroom shrugged, the motion causing globs of mucus to slide down his stalk. "The effluvium of my splendid species is part of our glory. And it's something we share with LBB, the only one of your kind whose emanations are pleasing to us."
