Do you mean the responsibility of the person taking advantage of the impaired person?

Here's an idea. Don't serve liquor and you remove 9/10's of the problem.

You don't get it. Is someone forcing the liquor down people's throats? No. I'm talking about actions and consequences. If you WILLINGLY take a drink and then go behind the wheel and kill a bunch of people is it the car's fault? PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY.

You have yet to describe how anyone is taking advantage of anyone else.
Let's see...a man walks in from outside into an auction house, a private business. The man walks over to the registration desk and asks to be registered and to get a paddle for auctioning. He walks over to the bar where they are serving wine. He asks for a glass of wine and proceeds to drink it. He does that three or four more times. The auction house goes about auctioning off some paintings. The man raises his paddle and buys two paintings.

Now you tell me how that man was taken advantage of.

Don't serve liquor and you remove 9/10's of the problem.

And I suppose McDonald's should serve its coffee cold so no one burns themselves, and kitchen knifes should not be too sharp, and all bikes should be three-wheelers, and ladders should have no more than 5 steps, and so on, and so on, and so on. Are you a personal injury lawyer?

Here's an idea. Don't serve liquor and you remove 9/10's of the problem. Seriously? I remember the US Government thought the same thing in the early 1900's. That didn't remove 9/10's of the problem....it made the problem even worse.

Personal responsibility was the only way to stop it. Smoking and drinking and doing drugs, you don't always see the harmful side affects right away. But with gambling you do...especially if you keep losing. You notice that you have a lot less money. THE only thing that brings you back is not the bright lights, not this, or not that....the only thing is the person's wish to win money...plain and simple.

On the subject, Christians have become really lazy by advocating and applauding court decisions, ballot measures, and legislation that could "erradicate the evils from our society." Instead of spending their time and effort at an abortion counseling clinic to show people the Love of Christ and that people actually do care for this mother about to make a decision that the Christians feel is a wrong decisions...THAT is what Christianity is all about...not ridding the world of social evils through the ballot box. I know so many people that have stopped their bad and sometimes illegal habits simply because a Christian put effort into caring. Quit bein lazy....start Focusing on the Family and what the family can do to stop these problems.
