The standard camo color on US Military vehicles should probably always be desert camo. The vast majority of the world's hotspots are in the not-so-green lands. Korea and the Balkans being the main exceptions.

That seems to make sense to me. I guess the green camo is a holdover from WWII/Korea/Viet Nam?
