Actually, I prefer the image of the "Minuteman". The gentleman, yeoman farmer or merchant businessman than the soldier. The Minuteman symbol is that of both patrician and patriot. We have too much of Joe-six-pack that the media presents. Actually, Chuck Heston isn't far off the mark, but needs to be about 20 yrs. younger (no offense met Mr. Heston).
How many of the dead on 11 Sept. belonged to the NRA or other such organization. How many, common, ordinary hero's are gun owners. That's the PR we need to overcome the Lefts image impinged upon us.
"I'm a school teacher, I'm a dentist, I'm a chemical engineer, I'm your neighbor..ect" Then pull back to show the whole crowd as they all say at once and we're all gun owners! Then at the bottom have a litle text pop up and say there are 100 million responsible gun owners in America today. One of them just might save your life! Sponsored by BLAH BLAH ect.
Or sumthin like that to show the averageness of gun ownership. Great idea!

I like the Los Angeles shopkeepers who protected their neighborhoods during the "Rodney King" riots. That incident, more than any other in recent history, really demonstrates what the Second Amendment "militia" is about.
