I'm with you 100%, but there are just too many bleeding heart liberals in Washington, the news media and in state legislatures.
Perhaps it's time to overthrow these rats and begin running the nation for the majority!

I want retribution and I want those who are guilty to never, ever again, have any chance to do it again. This woman's anger and emotion is reflective of the majority of the population. Unfortunately, the anti-death penalty crowd uses anecdotes about death row inmates being cleared by DNA (they ARE being cleared, aren't they?), mental defectives on death row, and 17 year olds on death row to kick up dust. Keeping the death penalty is going to continue to be a struggle, let alone speed up the process as we've done here in Texas.
Then, we have certain religious leaders who want to show "compassion" for a cretin like Alejandro Avila, who would rape and torture a five-year old, then pose her provocatively as a thumb in society's eye.

I suggest that Barbara Stanley volunteer to take responsibility for any wrongful executions within her judicial district. If someone is shown to have been wrongfully executed then Stanley is executed for that crime. A wrongful execution is premeditated murder and someone must pay the ultimate price for that.

. . . but there are just too many bleeding heart liberals in Washington . . . I was about to say let's also stand up a dozen or so of these bleeding heart liberals beside each of their barbaric buddies and execute them right along with the murderering savages they excuse, aid, abet, and love. It'd be totally justified.

Are you willing to volunteer to take responsibility for any wrongful executions within your judicial district?

Executing murderers, rapists, prison rapists and kidnappers is a no brainer. It always has been. Date rape is usually not rape btw.

Execution should be by hanging, in an area accessible to the public.
And, for those truly egregious cases where the murderer being executed pulls in the out-of-towners, picnic tables should be available to those spectators who want to pack a lunch and make a day of it.

This "wrongful execution" crap is another tactic of the anti-death penalty crowd, and is unadulterated nonsense.

Fine. And I suggest that you volunteer to take responsiblity for any violent criminal that is parolled and kills again.
You get to sit in the chair instead. If I were a life insurance agent, I know which one of the two of you would be a greater insurance risk.

She wants a deterrent - to send a message to the perps. Too bad the DP isn't a deterrent......
I believe it would deter some, but you do have a point as seen in the Muslim countries where they cut off various bodyparts, throw people over a cliff in a bag, gang rape relatives, whip them for days and none of this stops all of them.
But you can say that a dead person will not commit another crime and it does provide some revenge aspect for the victims families.
To: sinkspur
You haven't the courage of your "convictions." If you did then you would not hesitate to volunteer yourself to take responsibility.

Are you willing to volunteer to take responsibility for any wrongful executions within your judicial district? Absolutely, because I'm not worried about any.
Those wrongfully on death row are being freed, aren't they?
Of course, if you listen to the perps, they're all innocent.

==============================
If one of these monstors is executed, he is absolutely deterred from committing the same atrocity again!

She wants a deterrent - to send a message to the perps. Too bad the DP isn't a deterrent. It's definitely a deterrent to the perp who commits the murder for which he was sentenced.
She wants the accused to have no rights. If I'm ever accused, I would like some rights thank you very much.
The only right an accused murderer deserves is the right to a fair trial. Once convicted, he deserves the right to a swift punishment.

Not, though, a bad challenge to those who are in favor of such paroles. Taking responsibility is the key here. Taking responsibility is not limited to those who've managed to get indicted for something.

The fact that you are still alive is testiment to the reality that the death penalty is a deterrent.

Where's the courage of your "convictions"? Going to respond to Knitebane's question?
To: decimon
I'll be glad to wait to see if you can dig up just one single case of a convicted criminal who was put to death wrongfully within the last ten-fifteen years.
