July 28, 2002 -- JUST how is one supposed to act?
The first anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks is just over a month away, and could be a more terrifying test of our collective spirit than even the day itself.

I'm going to try to work from home if I can that day.
What are the rest of the Freepers going to be doing on September 11?

Dozens of churches have joined together here in Raleigh and are renting the local (new, LARGE) sports arena downtown to have a get-together that evening. Prayer, praise and worship, fellowship..............all in an effort to show support for our country and pray for all Americans, for remembrance of last 9/11 and the victims (and their families), etc. I find it a terrific way to observe such a horrible day.

I wasn't around then, so I don't remember.
You did get me onto a nice long search through every WWII website I could find.
I couldn't find anything for that exact date, but I know brave Americans, my father included, were kicking butt.

I have a question relating to TERROR. Can someone explain to me how guys like Jesse Jackson, etc. travel to ooutlawed places all over the world, representing their groups on US foreign policy matters. The average citizen would face prosecution/and/or heavy fines, but these AHs are apparently immune. Is there anyone out there that can tell me why??? I want to write someone on the subject, but fear I'm missing legalities. Do these nuts, based on their race/religion really free to do anything they want?

I'll be spending the day driving around the USF campus, with my "NUKE MECCA", "ISLAM SUCKS", and "KILL THE TERROR CELL AT USF" magnetic signs on my car.
To: katnip

Killing massive numbers of Islamics would be a good way to recognize the anniverary of the beginning of World War III.

Going to a Toby Keith Concert.

I would suggest going to the range to shoot. That would symbolically show the ragheaded, butts-in-the-air
b@st@rds that we're not necessarily vulnerable.

"I couldn't find anything for that exact date, but I know brave Americans, my father included, were kicking butt." Kicking butt, with both barrels blasting.

Going to a Toby Keith Concert. Please be sure to sing along loudly enough for Peter Jennings to hear you all the way from Canada.

Dozens of churches have joined together here in Raleigh and are renting the local (new, LARGE) sports arena downtown to have a get-together that evening. Sounds fantastic.
Please add special prayers for my friends Paul and Jim that were murdered that day.
Their families need them I guess more than they do.
Thanks.
