I personally would prefer Israel doesn't sell riot control equipment to Zimbabwe, though many make a good case that water cannons are more humane that the alternatives. I wish the Chinese had used them in Tienamin square.

Anyway, since we read about them 5 or six threads a day, I though I’d post a pic. Mugabe is buying the standard 4500, without gunports at Israels request. Nasty, you can mix red pepper in with the water and shoot a 500' stream

Check out their website, you might like something you like. Beit-Alfa Trailer

B.A.T.'s Riot Control Vehicles are fully protected to perform any demanding task with the following features:
Foam nozzles protect the bottom section from fire.
Gas nozzles protect the outer structure from approaching rioters.
On-deck water and foam nozzles protect against fire.
Hefty front bulldozer blades clear any obstacles in the vehicle's path.
Complete ballistic protection for varying threat levels (available as an option).

Maurice Templesman, on the other hand, might have use for some of their "heavy armor", to carry his money or person around in.

Armored Vehicle for cash & valuables transport on M.B. 814D (Vario) chassis

Armored Toyota Landcruser

Sorry I missed the thread. Glad to see it didn't deteriorate in the Bush Sr, Barack Gold accusations, given the pro-Republican nature of this board, which is where Larry's new idol Cynthia often takes the mining in Africa topic. Templesman, as Alamo-Girl notes is a bit player, and I doubt that she's McKinney's target.

Isn't that special. Israel is on a humanitarian mission in Zimbabwe. If they didn't sell them riot control vehicles to put down people, who knows what Mugabe would buy. So what is the excuse for Ari Ben-Menashe trading weapons for diamonds, stealing food from Zambia and being on a $400,000 retainer from Mugabe?

And please, no "ex" Mossad. Those diamonds and arms he deals in don't move one inch without approval.

So what do you think? Should the Justice Department investigatte Maurice Tempelsman? It is not nice to try to monopolize a countries natural recourses. Could be illegal for an American to do it. And considering the terms of the deal are that Namibia not be allowed to audit Tempelsman's books to see how many diamonds he mines, how is our IRS going to collect what he owes them?
