Do know Gov. Mark Schweiker's background?

Although he's my governor, I really can't say I know alot about him. I dare say, though, that he's probably not ideologically pure enough for the hard-core around here. But he has my support, he impressed the hell out of me these past few days.

I'm sure we'll be hearing much about this man in the future.

I had a chance to drive by the site this morning and was amazed by the amount of equipment they had. Much of it in reserve. The Gov really pulled out all the stops.

I'm from Pa too Tom. Thought I had heard, when Ridge was running, that he chose Mark Schwieker as his running mate because it would attract the pro-life voters. I thought I'd understand that Schweiker is a strong Christian. Ridge is, of course, pro-abortion. All this, of course, is from memory from discussions in my office (I work for a Republican elected official) I heard Schweiker will not be running in the next Governor's race.
