A Case for Keeping My Guns
Because I damn well feel like it.

Jason sounds more reasonable than your militant gun banner but by not much. Add up the sum total of all his "reasonable" gun control proposals and taken together they are but a Trojan Horse on the way to outright confiscation. And as even he admits, that's what he and his fellow gun banners are really after. The reason he presents all the moderate sounding proposals in his essay is because he knows perfectly well confiscating every private firearm in America in one fell swoop is likely to be fiercely resisted by the citizenry. Thus, if the same citizenry can be acclimated through "salami" tactics to accepting a total gun ban, by the time it happens they'll be resigned to it as a fait accompli. People have a hard time understanding why we resist even little steps to limit our gun rights. If they saw the big picture just as Jason does, they'd fight every gun control proposal that appeared tooth and nail. For when it comes to giving up your freedom, once you begin to slide down the "slippery slope" its hard to regain the lost ground. The gun banners know this and they're committed to their objective, win or lose. Its high time our side did so as well.

I just bought another SKS, (note that it is still legal to do so here in FREE Colorado). I am going to name it "Jason" in his honor.
As for this Jason creep, If I was grading his paper I would give him an "F" for not having any original ideas of his own. I could go to the Brady website and copy all of this crap into one smooth looking report. I am sure the professor grading the paper either doesn't know much about the subject or agrees with the leftist agenda.
I'm off to the gun range with "Jason" and his little buddies "7.62 x 39" to exterminate targets.
All the Best!
