Go to the NTSB report and find the document titled Meteorological Factual Report. It contains an hourly breakdown of the weather at JFK the day of the incident. The coldest the temperature got that evening was 26 degrees celsius. Light Rain was reported at 1827. The temperature then was 29 degrees celsius.
