It is her... there is no reason he would have been wet as the glass factory is on the same side of the river as the home is. If he was wet he may have entered the river to wash himself off or the child to remove evidence (this is small river and not very deep and it does not have a rapid current).
They just showed a picture of him, he is 24 years old and looks younger in the picture.
