Maybe so, but I still am astonished at how brazen this act was given all the recent publicity of what appears to be an epidemic. Maybe these evil perverts get off on the publicity. Poor child. My own child is worth more to me than some guy down on his luck. (I give to charity, but wouldn't invite a stranger into my home...if the guy was a stranger.) Even so, it smells fishy. The caregiver wasn't even her real father. How sad for the real father. How sad for the mother who thought that her child was in a safe environment.

oh - don't misunderstand me. It is absolutely NOT ACCEPTABLE to put that little girl at risk like that. I don't give a damn what the circumstances are. I'd sleep under a f'n rock with my daughter tied to my hip rather than make her "available" for some stranger.
BUT...What I don't know is all the facts in this case and I'm trying to keep from rushing to judgement... perhaps the guy had left and sneaked back in - perhaps she did wander outside - I don't want to rip into the father or the mother until I have good reason and proof.
