Where did you hear about Hamas in Columbia MO? There is a huge mosque (well, huge for a town of Columbia's size) located just off campus at University of Missouri, for whatever that's worth, and when I attended from late 80s to mid 90s there as a very active and vocal anti-Israeli movement there as well.

A map of the USA with a number of "hot spots" are denoted has been posted here
a number of times at freerepublic.
MY GUESS is that it was lifted from Emerson's recent book:
American Jihad: The Terrorists Living Among Us by Steven Emerson
The map shows that there was a Hamas chapter at Columbia, MO and lists a few other
groups (I can't recall which ones).

You're probably aware this is pretty common in academia now.
Kind of amazing when guys in tweed jackets reveal themselves to be
spiritual brothers of the KKK, isn't it?
(I'm not saying Israel is always on the side of the angels, but I sure
prefer it over the Palestinian Authority.)
I don't know if you know of Victor Davis Hanson, a professor of classics at a
state university in California, says that his observation is that on most campi,
the faculty is 90% pro-Palestinian, while the student body is about 90% pro-Israel.
(Hanson writes a column for National Review; you can check him out at:
