[history]
The fallout from this year's forest fires is accomplishing wonders -- such as the sight of Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle running into the protective arms of the Republican-controlled Forest Service. Quick, someone get water to revive the Sierra Club.

"Litigation and appeals in the Black Hills, like elsewhere in the nation, reflect the lack of trust that exists among all users of the national forests and the Forest Service, and a lack of consensus regarding the goals of national forest management. From the Washington Times - 7/31/02 -
Earlier this year, Mr. Daschle and his wife, Linda, dropped plans to buy property in the Black Hills. The majority leader said he would be working on a solution to the forestry issue and wanted to avoid the appearance of a conflict.
Can Puff buy national forest property?
To: The Raven
Tom Daschle's explanation is way too obtuse for the average person to follow. I have kept up with this issue and I don't have a clue what he's talking about.
He must have been feeling the heat to write this and make it public. The issue was actually dying down, now this editorial will revive it again, but apparently, he thought it worth the risk to make his points.
I think this strategy will fail. Not only does it revive the issue again, it reads so Clintonesque--splitting hairs and parsing words.
I think he's in trouble in SD or else he'd just laugh this whole thing off.

... which was essential to securing environmental community support for thinning. IMHO, this is a peek into the Democrat mindset. "Rightness" matters less than votes, i.e. power.
So, mr tommy two tongues, the sierra club is now a local stakeholder "in your little mind". I wouldn't trust the sierra club regardless of what they say, and why not you ask. Have they done anything to earn my trust, by attempting to turn the world back into what my forefathers broke their backs overcoming.
I think we all know the answer to that question. Turning more of the bleak hill of SD into wilderness is thought to be a wonderful thing "by the likes of the sierra club", I happen to disagree, but am I considered a local stakeholder? What do you think? And I venture to postulate that I am more of a property owner and more of a taxpayer in SD than many of the sierra club local stakeholders. All 270 members strong in western SD, to quote a recent whine in the letters to the editor by a local stakeholder.
Hopefully the club will continue its policy of terrorism and legal wrangling and really piss off the populace, and to the person unworthy of the title senator, how much of the black hills are you going to give the local stake holders as a carrot. If that is now the way of dealing with those whose policies enable forest fires, I'm not impressed, and you could very well run out of federal forest before you run out of people willing to sit at your table for that kind of compromise.

Well, we have another Hanging Chad.
This time it is the Lying Green Jihadist, Chad Hanson, with his letter of lies to the WSJ.
The Green Jihadists want zero logging of live or dead trees in any national forest or state forest. They set up the no roads, no logging and no brush removal in these areas. This makes them into tinder boxes ready to explode into uncontrollable flames.
Go to the key word, Rural Cleansing to see the fires still burning in Oregon and California due to these Druid Agendas: (Rural Cleansing of America by Uncontrolable Wildfires due to Druid forest agendas)
To: The Raven; BOBTHENAILER
Here is a little insight on who this Hanson shill is from a thread this past January re logging where fires had been. The man is a eco jihadist:
"This is very high quality old-growth forest, nesting habitat for the California spotted owl, and they are talking about virtually clearcutting it under the guise of salvaging fire-scorched trees," said Chad Hanson, director of the John Muir Project, a nonprofit environmental group.
"Hanson and others challenging the logging say the fire that burned two summers ago through the rugged mountains of the Plumas and Lassen national forests caused far less damage than the Forest Service claims.
"Most of these trees are not dead," Hanson said. "Many are not even visibly burned."
"His end goal is the same of Green Jihadists, not a single board foot of timber can be harvested from a national forest, including trees that are dead from a fire resulting in their rural cleansing agendas.

"If you don't remove it this way, sooner or later it will be removed at taxpayer expense. We'll have to pay hard money to haul the stuff, pile it and burn it." This Hanson character is a real piece of work. Thanks for the heads-up on his bio.

His name rang a bell after I read his letter to WSJ.
Thanks to Raven posting that letter and thanks to you for the ping.
This is the power of Free Republic.
We need to start using key words to index these threads for future linkage.
That is why I'm suggesting that everyone who is concerned about the Green Jihadists in America, to use Rural Cleansing as a key word on all future threads. Then, to take a few minutes and go back to add it to past and current threads where the Green Jihadists were involved.
In a few months we can have an incredible data base re who some of the key Green al Qaeda thugs in America are. Then people like Carry Okie and back hoe can link all of this together for us.

To: Grampa Dave
I had to get past having "Grampa Dave" and "chainsaw" on the same line on your ping.
The chuckling ebbed when I started reading about that duplicitous little prick Daschle. I hope that height-challenged scumbag burns in hell surrounded by all of his abusive enviro-pscho friends.

I guess that I will be Chainsaw Dave to you when it comes to the vile Green Jihadists. Da$$hole deserves a special place in hell for undersized but painful clymers in history.
To: BOBTHENAILER
Actually, I stole the term Rural Cleansing from a WSJ article last year during the Klamath Basin Crisis.
Rural Cleansing is simple to understand. It is the ultimate goal of all the enviralists even beyond destroying our capitalistic system. Rural cleansing is equal opportunity ethnic cleansing. It is the removal of all humans from the enviral/druid cathedrals and areas surrounding them.
They hate humans and want none of us living outside of Goron Ghettos.
To: The Raven
So, in effect, allowing the clearing of dead timber was a bad idea when Thune was going to do it, because my people would sue. It's a good idea when I do it, because my people wouldn't sue me. That's the lynchpin. It's gone beyond whether Dasshole is liberal or not for me. His arrogance, his willingness to lie at the drop of a hat, his willingness to deceive whenever the need arises makes me just disgusted with this creature. X42 has nothing on Dasshole when it comes to sheer dishonesty.
