Ron Paul voted present.

Anyone know why in heck he, of all people, voted "present?"

Why am I not surprised? One dirtbag voting for another.

Paul is a man of principle and one of the few truly heroic people today who hold political office. I am sure he had his reasons. In any case, he has "paid his dues" so often that I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on this, and many other, votes.

No, I think Condit has a message. I think he might finally have something to say publicly.

At least he'll be hounded to explain his one dissenting vote, kinda like Hitlery was that one time...what was her solo dissent...had to do with a confirmation of someone I think.

It's just no good for Condit anymore since the Dems ran away
Now he spends his time, making obscene rhymes with Slick Willie...

(Followed by awesome guitar and caterwauling...)

Ron Paul had problems with the change of venue and with not putting this off till the House comes back in session.

He spoke briefly about it, didn't say much else.

Well, don't adorn yourself with it just yet, Traficant voted AGAINST impeachment..

(Despite a pesky and persistant rumor to the contrary.. )

I agree; I'm just surprised that this man in particular would pass up saying "aye" or "nay" in the first well-known constitutional action of the House since Clinton's impeachment.

Trust me, you aren't the only one by a long shot..

It's been flying all over FR and the internet in general for weeks.

I don't know where it began, but allot of people think he voted in the affirmative.

Jim Traficant got railroaded. He is still one of my heroes
and I hope he wins his appeal and gets elected as an independent. Think I'll send his campaign some money.

Does anyone know: Traficant made a strong statement in his remarks regarding past House dealings with members- ahem, indiscretions. He referred to a Congressman involved with a 17 year old male page (and another involved with a 17 year old female page.) He said, "That is RAPE in any State in this country," referring to the slap on the wrist that those congressmen received. My question: was one of those Congressmen Barney Frank???

Help me understand your thinking, if you think Ron Paul is a brain-dead idiot, who in the congress do you approve of?

No, no.. they did it in the House, and a committe member yielded a couple of minutes to Ron Paul.

I love Traficant, but to be objective about it and not play favorites.. I think he was guilty as charged.

I am very suprised Mr. Paul didn't feel vote the same way when the motion to hold this matter over till 9/4 was voted down. Because that's what he spoke about, he didn't take part in the actual explusion debate.
