You give this generation too little credit, speaking for myself, an active duty Marine GySgt, The Corps can and will win just like the generation that humbled the Nazi's and Japanese. We still instill the Warrior spirit in our Marines.
Mark my words these men will do this country proud.
I also feel that our sister services are quite capable, and up to the task at hand. Give these men and women the credit they deserve, they get up every morning, put thier uniforms on and carry out the mission with no complaint. They know what is at stake, and are willing to be put in harms way so you can go to bed at night safely. Semper Fi.

Of this, I have no doubt! The sticky part comes not from lack of faith in our current military men and women, but this force is too small to do the job that needs to be done. It's the future draftees that will decide the contest and my worry is that they will not be up to measure.

It's okay though, I've been wrong before. I only hope I'm wrong now...

Be well...

You give this generato too MUCH credit. If you take a look at our generation as a whole, we don't have the mindset or REAL WORLD education to tackle a real threat. Most of our generation believes WORLD PEACE is obtainable and don't have a clue about what is going on. They are too busy dancing in night clubs, watching MTV, and generally avoiding politics at all costs. The left has prepared the sheep well. Remember, 37% of our geneation says they will avoid a draft at ALL COSTS. In other words, they don't care of Nazi Germany is preparing its second rising.

They saying used to be that you always have a few "bad" apples that spoil the lot. Well, I'd say now we have a few "good" apples amongst a spoiled lot.

If you don't believe me, run through any office and see how many 20 somethings know anything about what is going on in this country.
