Everyone seems to assume that Goff will back up the prosecution's timeline. I'm not sure why, given that Faulkner was also originally hired by the prosecution. Which leads to my questions as to how these experts are hired.
Do the lawyers question them before hiring them? Or pay them to support a given conclusion? In short, why does Dusek think he'll get different results from Goff than he's gotten with the other two bug guys? Or is he just taking a shot?

Again, fairly obvious.
(1) He has demonstrated his ability to go with Unusual techiques to try an evaluate factors other experts claim are minimal.
(2) He acheived some notoriety and success, probably due more to self-promotion and a lot of luck, or maybe some intuition.
(3)He thinks, out of the box, meaning his interpretation is 'different' than whoever else you hired, else you wouldn't bother hiring him, now would you !?!?!?!?
