It's weird. To hear someone try and justify why napster was cool and hip... I mean, they'd have to make some pretty substantial leaps. OTOH, I torture myself by sticking around a musicians' mailing list (fan base for a musical artist we all like, and most of the folks there are pretty lefty), and it's just as bizarre to hear their squawking contortions, them bawling on and on about how the "art" belongs to the artist forever and ever. To hear them talk, you owe Britney Spears money every time you hear "Baby One More Time" in passing.

I like the concept of Napster , but folks need to consider the bigger picture before they conclude that the me 1st mentality is the only thing that matters .
What the "artista" seems to forget is they have released control of there future when they sign the contract . I've read and have heard artist , claim that they are citizens of the world .
That stand alone comment speaks volumes for me . Who is the Britney person that you mentioned ;) ?
