Baywatch Star in Lettuce Bikini Stops Traffic

BERLIN (Reuters) - Former Baywatch star and Playboy model Traci Bingham stopped traffic in Berlin by wearing a lettuce bikini to promote vegetarianism.

Bingham, who played the life-guard Jordan in the hit U.S. television series, spent more than half an hour Thursday posing for the cameras wiggling between a famous steak restaurant and Berlin's Kurfuerstendamm shopping street.

The protest was organized by the animal rights group PETA. Bingham's bikini of fake lettuce leaves carried a sign reading "Go Vegetarian!"

"I love to wear lettuce because I don't like to wear fur," said 34-year-old Bingham.

The restaurant sponsored a meat industry congress in Berlin this year. The manager asked Bingham to leave when she entered the restaurant with a crowd of reporters to order a vegetarian meal.

Only 34? She looks much older, or as Austin Powers would say, "She's a man, baby!"

Yup, she could be the Black female version of Michael Jackson. Wait, Jackson is black ... sort of ... and I'm not quite sure about his/her gender.

Hey, maybe this thang is Michael Jackson!

If I ever desired to "Go Vegetarian!", would I have to wear that?

Fake boobs are grotesque.

Agree totally.

Clearly, but someone must like them are they wouldn't be ubiquitous.

The question I always ask vegetarians is:

How many old vegetarians do you know?

Kind of puts a damper on the subject... ;-)

Are you sure they are fake? Have you examined them in person? She's no goddess, but she isn't that bad.

"I'm glad I don't have to marry her!"

I'm pretty sure her husband feels differently.
