I heard of a case where a girl was snatched in broad daylight and when they found the spot where she was snatched they picked up the beeping device that the girl was given to "protect" her from harm and it was still beeping.

She was later found dead.

But this is locked on..and can't even be CUT OFF. So hopefully this is made better. It is waterproof too.

If it would help us locate a child before they could torture them like little Samantha.. then I'm all for it.

I also heard today, that they are adjustable and lock where you tighten them. That is beneficial too. Perhaps then it won't fall off, or get pulled off in a scuffle.
