"Kathleen Halton, of Ithaca, said there was no denying that American society is racist and that whites enjoyed de facto racial privilege.

Halton said that as a white American, she had been conditioned to have racist views.

"There is no way to grow up white, and not be racist, that doesn't happen," she said.

Pure Racist Poppycock! I deny it!

I am white. I was born (1941) and raised in the South. "American by birth, Southern by the Grace of God!"

I am not a racist, and I am damn proud of the fact that I treat my fellow man as I would want to be treated. For those of us old enough to remember, it is called The Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do to you."

If I can grow up in the deep South and not be a bigot, Ms. Halton, surely you can grow up in the "Enlightened North" and not be a bigot!

My experience of life is that those who would hurl the "Racist" epithet at others are themselves racist bigots.

Life is just too damn short for us to put up with these type of low-life maggots. I say, "Break out the tar and feathers, and run 'em out of this country on a rail!"

I believe you, my friend, but you and I both know that the liberals like this woman will never think of you as anything but a bigot, since you are a white male FREEPER.

Them people up there in Yankeeland sure seem to have a lot race problems. The left coast is the same way. Hope they learn how to get along like we did.

I believe Ms. Halton is making a more subtle, and vastly more important, point.

***It takes a liberal to be a racist***

And she's making it quite effectively...
