Definitely. When one of these pervs skips parole, we should be declaring the same level of emergency as when a child is abducted -- face plastered everywhere, major media coverage. I'm afraid we're declaring the emergencies at the wrong point. It's a lot easier to get police and the public fired up about finding an abducted child. But we need to learn to get fired up about missing pervs (not that I wouldn't much prefer that they never be let out of prison in the first place, but given that things are as they are ...). Citizens in the San Diego area need to be raising a huge stink right now, about why they are just now hearing about this guy skipping parole, and not even from current police authorities. Make clear to police and politicians that heads will roll if this happens again.
