I installed Slack and failed to see the interest. I went back to Drake because I could install the world. It makes the whole process painless.

I understand where you're coming from. But I wasn't interested in ease of use.

If someone came to me with interest in Linux, you can best believe that Slack WON'T be the distro I turn them on to. I'd point them directly to your favorite, Drake.

Switch to MacOS X.1 it is essentially NextSTEP 5.0. Most people don't realize that OSX is on the underside absolutely nothing like the original MacOS, it is built on the modernized components that the original NextSTEP was built on. FreeBSD 3.3, Mach 3.0, OpenSTEP 4.0 APIs, Objective C, it's a truly beautiful OS. For a desktop, no linux distro can go toe-to-toe with it. It is what UNIX on the desktop should be.
