I still say that elected officials who commit a crime, no matter how long ago it happened and get caught, along with those who cover it up, should be banded of elected office for the rest of their lives and also be fined and sent to jail for no less that twenty years with no possibility of release.

Agreed! If Pete Rose can be banned from baseball for life for gambling then the political crooks should be banned from holding office also.
