There is more honor and principle in the mafia than in the Democrat party. I'd take them over Democrats any day. We were allied with the mafia in Sicily against the Nazis -- and I don't see much difference between Democrats and Nazis, except for an aversion to ovens as a means to implement their goals (they seem to prefer Chinese nuclear missiles).

You do realize that this poll says that Kirk is winning the conservative vote 39-30, right? This poll is garbage.
All Wht Blk His GOP Dem Ind Con Mod Lib
Kirk 36% 32% 54% 41% 17% 56% 33% 39% 38% 46%

They remind me of the guy advertising in the Ramallah help-wanted ads: "Suicide bombers wanted. Experience required."

Oh yes, they get very screwy..... Polls mean very little at this stage except to influence donors and campaign workers.....
A couple of other incumbents will bite the dust also.....
Georgia 7th, Barr - Linder
Mississippi 3rd, Pickering (R) - Shows (D)

I'm not opposed to an all-out effort, but it has to be worth what we'd lose.
We should not have the timidity of Frank Jack Fletcher (Edwin Layton and Samuel Eliot Morison described that timidity quite well). We also need to avoid being overly aggressive.

If the Dems regain the House and retain the Senate, then Hillary will definitely jump into the 2004 race. She will figure that the Dems will be able to block Bush in the rest of his first term, and make him look bad. Then we might get Hillary, with a Dem Congress. God help us.

Bye. Vote for the Libertarian. My Libertarian senate candidate, who personally came to my office to try to persuade me, convinced me I could NEVER vote for him. He is not pro-life, and his drug policies are, to me, intolerable. The stuff I read on the Libertarian pages tell me they totally oppose the war on terror. So go for it dude. Give 'em your vote. Or the Dems---hey, they are fine guys. Yep, that's YOUR choices, but not mine.

Dickey must be telegraphing how much voter fraud will be coming down the Pike in the Fall election!

We already gained two seats, one in AZ, one in Ohio, and these are only two of the redistricted seats that I am told account for 26 NEW seats. GOP 2, Dems -2.

Another terrorist attack would axe the Democrats chance at winning back the House. Mmmm, not necessarily. Folks could also blame the Pubbies for letting the attack occur or Bush for not killing Bin Laden, Al Zawahiri or Mullah Omar. Hey, I'm not saying it's right, but...

Gephardt is an enemy of America. Yup! But the liberals have control of the government-media complex, so the sheep will swallow the pill. Too many STUPID voters in this country coupled with FRAUD and ILLEGAL voting tactics. America is lost......
Now I'll sit back and watch us VOTE more freedoms away. Then again, who CAN we vote for to protect us from ourselves? No one......

Meeting with the top leadership Tuesday afternoon, Gephardt opened by advising Members to read a Paul Krugman column in that day's New York Times that accused President Bush of shady land dealings and cronyism in Texas. He also touted a similarly themed story in the New Yorker magazine. Would that be the Column that mysteriously echoed Kristoffs Column in the same paper on the same day ?
This is not the first time. A while back, MoDowd had a column about a piece of Bush News, that ran in the Op Ed the same day the story broke.
The Pipeline from the DNC is so transparent it's obvious...

Your right, I say we pick a fight with Iraq before the election. Let the senate and congress debate going to war and giving the president authority to invade. This debate should be made before the election so that the Dem's feet are placed directly under the fire. Then bomb.

It about finding the right political terrain, and then hitting them hard. Remember John Buford - at least as he was portrayed by Sam Elliot in "Gettysburg"?
