I'm astonished. Going into this match, I never figured my score would be anywhere near the top. It's been years since I shot a serious match "on paper", so I had no idea what scores to anticipate. The past few years, I have concentrated mostly on silhouette - both smallbore and centerfire rifle. That's a hit-or-miss game, no scoring rings. I guess that experience (along a painfully tight sling - and tons o' good luck) helped immensely. It was fun... ping me for the next go-round. I'm building a .45 Kentucky Rifle, so I'll be able to participate in the blackpowder event, if that is the next up. Anyone know a gunsmith who does rust browning work?
Thanks to capnball for running this match, and thanks to you, Shooter 2.5, for keeping it all on-track.

I'm not surprised you did so well if you shoot silhouette. I shot the best standing scores in high power when I was still shooting at the turkeys. I have to say shooting at them and not hitting them. Congratulations again.

Ive been doing the HP NM for about a year and a half now, and I really enjoy it.
I'm up for a Garand, or maybe "as issued" military shoot.
I own 2 blackpowders, a smooth bore 50 cal single shot pistol, with a 3" barrel, and a repo 1851 navy colt revolver in 36 cal - lots of fun to shoot. I've been thinking of getting a bp rifle for a few years now, but I cant decide on caliber/make. Any suggestions? I wouldnt mind on of the kits.
