My favorite pedestrian-situation is weaving in and out of cars, in between bumpers, as I traverse the cross-walk -- these are cars that get stuck in the crosswalk when the light changes, and all we pedestrians just jump right into the street so we can get to the other side.
It's the whole untidy but practical quality of that situation which appeals to me.

I'm really careful not to "block the box" so I don't do this, but I still invariably have to dodge at least one pedestrian strolling in the middle of the street.
