Thanks Phaedrus. I will probably save this for tonight, though.
Thanks to you as well, Nunya, for doing your best to keep this from getting shunted to the Religion Ghetto as part of our liberal style separation of Church and State policy whereby we can get evolutionISM rammed down our throats but must whisper our rebuttals in the privacy of our churches, temples, homes and hearts.
I've never quite understood how it is that the same folks who'll tell me to just "change the channel" or "ignore it" where porn is concerned, are so sensitive about the religious articles which appear alongside the kitty barbecues and other breaking news around here.
It is a treat to see a thread by the awesome Alamo-Girl.

IMHO, a creation that doesn't need "tweaking" from time-to-time is a greater creation than one that does. My short answer-
It would be, but it would also be one in which the all-knowing creator would know in advance that the pieces would all fall together in a way which would eventually produce a "Scully". Further, the creator would know in advance whether this "Scully" would accept or reject the salvation offered in Jesus Christ.
If He makes a universe where all would accept Him, where is the Freedom? If He makes a universe knowing in advance the exact individuals that will reject Him, where is the justice?
A solution : separate yourself from your all-knowing nature after the creation of the universe, then have that part of your nature take creative action. The original conditions would then be altered. The Bible teaches that is was God the Son that is the actual Creator, not the Father. It is that way for a reason.

When are you going to realise that all your beliefs amount to, in reality, is only that - beliefs. It's just something you've been taught, it's just a learned behaviour. So why do you believe what you believe?

Thank you for not taking my late evening chablis soaked snideness too seriously.
Interesting background.
Re #27, do you really think so? We seem able to influence probability through decision making. By my #25, that seems profound to me.
Have a good day. I have a feeling this may go on for several....
