Decent Democrats??? I can't think of a one. Oh and please don't anyone try to convince me Zell Miller is one. He says he objects to the way his party behaves and still remains a member of the party allowing them to hold the majority and behave the way they do. That is not a decent Democrat. He is just as guily as they are by condoning thier behavior. Rant over. Don't get me started on DemorRATS, I hate DEMOCRATS!!!!! Kath, it could very well be that Zell stays a Dem because the minute he switches parties Lincoln Chafee bolts to the dems side of the aisle. Zell can wield more influence over the dems as their thorn in the flesh than if he joins the republican minority (after Chafee's exit).

What a great team they are. :) Just looking at one or both of them makes me feel safer.

Hi everyone, We have a 62" Pioneer which is about 5 years old. It was in the shop about 3 months ago for about 6 weeks. The colors were not lining up correctly which resulted in a shadow!!! Fascinating!!! When we got it back it had some wavy lines in it near the bottom of the screen. It does not bother me, but it really bothered my husband especially if he were watching a DVD. Anyway, they came and picked it up yesterday. It is still in warranty, thank goodness. This little bitty thing we are watching now in the den is something else. I can not read anything that is on the bottom of the news channels without getting right in front of it. He likes to turn the Golf Channel on, turn the sound down, and put 5 Cd's on. He listens to the music while watching his golf. We have some remodeling plans drawn up which includes a big soundproof room for all of this equipment. We will get around to doing this one of these days. There are few shows that I like to watch. I had rather be on the computer listening to talk radio or shortwave radio. I have a Drake SW 8 which is a very nice radio. They do not make them any more or that is what someone said.

my husband got one today. I think a long time ago he must have sent something cuz he keeps getting letters. I seriously considered writing "bite me" on it and sending it back in their postpaid envelope.
I really, really, think he is a piece of dreck now and picking on Cheney is almost as low as picking on Bush.

I will believe this theory when the Republicans take back the Senate at which time I will expect Miller to switch to the Republican party. If he doesn't my belief will be confirmed that he belongs to the Party of Slime.

She is in Texas. There was a thread about it yesterday. They were welding her initials on a sub, I think. The thread was called. "Start at the bottom [USS Texas keel-laying, first lady in attendance] "

I have been threatening to take a hiatus from the news myself. It is just depressing and no matter how we gripe and expose the media, they just keep doing it.
But I just creep on and take a peek. Only at Free Republic and Fox News tho.

I'll second that. The media is awful. How do these people say all those lies and not flinch? God bless President Bush. And I miss Laura. Anyone know where she is?

I am on a self imposed news blackout right now I can relate .. but when the dems start their crap I like to watch them
I watched Harold Fineman from Newsweeks a couple weeks ago and he had this smirk that I just wanted to smack of his face
I thought then that they were up to something
As for the market .. this like the rest their stunts will turn on the dems ... the economy is strong and growing and now if you are carefull .. there are a few goods buys

Just wanted to provide all of you with a polling update. Consider it a couterbalance to the inordinate publicity that the RAT-controlled media has given to the recent Zogby poll [At least Brit Hume had the integrity to juxtapose Zogby's poll with recent Gallup and Fox poll results -- visually illustrating the incredible/absurd discrepancies among the polls. Unfortunately, he failed to explain the excellent/good/fair/poor vs approve/disapprove schemata that creates these discrepancies; however, I'm sure that viewers still got the point!).
God Bless our President -- a man who understands that while political popularity is ephemeral, Gods love and grace is ETERNAL!!
Ipsos-Reid/Cook poll (7/11-7/14 -- same timeframe as Zogby):
70% Approve vs 28% Disapprove
NOTE: Ipsos-Reid uses an extremely detailed 7-point rating scale that seems infinitely more sophisticated/accurate than that used by the other polling organizations (including Zogby). According to their analysis, the President has only lost 7 percentage points from his approval rating since January (a mean rating shift from 5.6 to 5.1 -- very minimal!).
CNN/Time (7/10-11): 70% Approve 24% Disapprove
[Interesting questions/results:
Whom do you trust more to handle the current accounting scandals:
43% George Bush
41% Democrats
10% Neither
Do you think George Bush pays too much attention to Big Business?
45% Yes
44% No
[March 2001:
53% Yes
36% No]
Please rate the moral and ethical standards of the following:
CEOs: 21% Excellent/Good (39% Poor)
The News Media: 31% Excellent/Good (31% Poor)
Religious Leaders: 40% Excellent/Good (27% Poor)
Congress: 29% Excellent/Good (22% Poor)
Bush Administration: 46% Excellent/Good (17% Poor)
Ohio* Poll (conducted by the University of Cincinnati, June 17-June 30):
76% Approve
21% Disapprove
[66% approve of the President's handling of the economy
74% approve of the President's handling of foreign affairs]
*According to the Institute for Policy Research, the Ohio Poll mirrors national opinion and provides an accurate bellweather of current public opinion.
Summary: Despite a rotten market (but recovering economy) and continual RAT/media attacks, the President is still incredibly popular (Remember: presidential approval ratings typically hover between the low and mid 50s).
Reality Check: The President's numbers will continue to decline into November as Democrats become more partisan in their evaluations -- typical behavior during an election year. If the market fails to stabilize, the decline will probably be more precipitous. NEVERTHELESS, the President will remain the most popular politician in Washington (and certainly the most popular politician/human being here at the Dose)!!
God Bless President Bush -- a man who understands that while political popularity is ephemeral, God's love and grace is eternal!

Lieberman backed away from every position he had previously taken to be Gore's running mate. Just two days ago he was stabbing the president in the back and today he's patting him on the back. What a smarmy little jelltfish he is.

"If I were Lieberman, I would be worrying about lightning bolts"
ROTFLOL! God wasn't fooling when he said, "Touch not God's annointed"; I believe that touching covers the words which come out of your mouth much more than physical touching. I believe that because the WORD was GOD.

Thanks for the analysis, Dr. Deb. It was very informative and interesting. If the averaged rate of decline since 9/11 through today holds GWB will be at 61% on Election Day. Actually I think it will be higher since the decline seems to be leveling off the over the last month. Even so, 61% is nothing to sneeze at.

He's out of the frame. He's at Hastert's knees. If you look real close you can see the top of his head.
