And that's all I meant when I said that the problem is that some of our 'mistakes' simply cannot be 'fixed'.
Since you have previously mentioned God's laws, I would be interested to know what you think we can do about those crimes where we ourselves have been the perpetrators against God's moral laws? What do we do when God is the offended party? Is there some restitution or weregild that we can pay to God for the damage we have done and the pain that we have caused by our breaking of God's holy and righteous laws? And further, is there any reason whatever to suppose that God would be obligated to accept any weregild that we could offer, or that it could undo the damage?
