Oh, that's right, he said to grow up and work within the party to try to make changes. Sort of like Keyes did.

Unfortunately, the feedback loop is too sluggish to prevent the class of problems we are likely to experience.

The serious actions that desperately need to be taken now are no longer considered politically feasible.

The definition of a decadent society is one that knows the correct course of action but is institutionally incapable of action.

WMD have been democratized but we can not vaccinate.

The GSEs by their very nature will implode, but we refuse to discuss it.

And on a personal level, the whole friggin horizon is one vast wall of smoke, but we are not allowed to take basic measures to prevent fire.

The institutions we have created to protect our interests no longer serve us.

Speaking of Dr. Keyes, how do you think he would have felt about someone with Goldwater's pro-abortion tendencies being a Republican frontrunner, if he were around today?

Goldwater knew, the math is simple. Conservatives can make an impact within the Republican party and can even control it if they work hard enough.

We can do nothing standing alone.

Let's grow up conservatives.
