"Who is he?"
A columnist for asiatimes. Found the article.
Doesn't ring accurate? The Pakistani military is full of delusional grandeurism regarding their's and Pakistan's "historical" roles as the avatars of Islam and the descendants of the "mythical, mystical arab warriors" who pillaged and raped the subcontinent.
Be that bit of Islamopioum fantasy, Kashmir is the raison d'etre of the "modern and secular" islamic 'state" of Pakistan; they've failed to modernise or alleviate the living conditions of their people in the past decade, at least. So, all they have is their jihad.
Any specific disagreements with the article or just a blanket condemnation? The guy's Muslim. Maybe he's a friend of Tashbih Sayyed's.

Well, yeah. The Unocal pipeline idea has been pretty well discounted since before our action in Afghanistan, except among conspiracy nuts. Pakistan has nabbed at least two of the al-Qaida bigdogs in that country in the past six months, and there is no evidence that I have seen anywhere that the Pak army has done anything except what Musharraf has publicly called for.
This is crappy journalism, and it sounds like the rants of someone who is lazy and with an agenda.
