Re your post #18 - Hi deadhead, Thanks for posting on this thread, deadhead. I, too, have spent a lot of time at Jones Beach on LI, in NY. My favorite time to go there was in the fall, when no one else was there. BTW, FL has some beautiful, soothing beaches as well:
