What pretty summer flowers. :) Are you about to recuperate from all the things going on in your life the last few weeks?

..I know that I probably look like a saint ..What a magnaminous man he is. I wonder if he has any single brothers....if they are like him, they would be single and he is lucky he isn't.
This does not resemble 'our SAINT'. Not in the least.

Little Nancy was in the garden filling in a huge hole, when her neighbor peered over the fence.
Interested in what the youngster was up to he politely asked, "What are you doing Nancy?"
"My goldfish died", she replied with tears rolling down her cheeks "and I've just buried him."
The concerned neighbor said, "My... that was an awfully big hole for a little goldfish ?"
Nancy finished patted down the last shovel of dirt and then replied "Well, that's because he's inside your cat".

That is wonderful, Julie, thank you for thinking of all of us here when you read it. I like it a lot.
When the world isn't being all that nice..
and you feel like nobody could ever care..
then they'll be right here to hug and hold..
and forever be your teddy bear..
Sometimes the world isn't nice. It's good to know somebody right here cares. :)

Hi, Joe - I thought you'd been here before, or are you just talking about this particular thread for summer? :) We're here every day - think you're on the ping list - know I got your mail about adding your pic to the next group of veterans/active. :)

I'm almost back to normal; I can see ankles again. You'd think the heat wouldn't bother a native Californian. Must have been all those margaritas! Louie warned us .....

Looking to the future
Searching for the girl
Not too much like the last one
Just the prettiest in the world
Sounds like our summer, alright. :) Pretty poem, thanks for finding us today!

I AM MY OWN GRANDPA Many many years ago when I was twenty three,
I got married to a widow who was pretty as could be.
This widow had a grown-up daughter
Who had hair of red.
My father fell in love with her,
And soon the two were wed.
This made my dad my son-in-law
And changed my very life.
My daughter was my mother,
For she was my father's wife.
To complicate the matters worse,
Although it brought me joy,
I soon became the father
Of a bouncing baby boy.
My little baby then became
A brother-in-law to dad.
And so became my uncle,
Though it made me mad.
For if he was my uncle,
Then that also made him brother
To the widow's grown-up daughter
Who, of course, was my step-mother.
Father's wife then had a son,
Who kept them on the run.
And he became my grandson,
For he was my daughter's son.
My wife is now my mother's mother
And it makes me blue.
Because, although she is my wife,
She's my grandmother too.
If my wife is my grandmother,
Then I am her grandchild.
And every time I think of it,
It simply drives me wild.
For now I have become
The strangest case you ever saw.
As the husband of my grandmother,
I am my own grandpa!

Are secret messages permitted on this thread?
Do you provide decoder rings, too?
It looks like you are doing "figment-type".

Don't get involved in genealogy or you'll find it is too close to the truth. LOL

Well Miss DaisyScarlett, we saw Reign of Fire and we both liked it.
Good movie if you like loud noises, fire breathing (the best dragons ever)dragons, pretty good acting, lotsa English accents, no sex, great looking female (Izabella Scorupco) lead, even when covered with soot and ash, a very buff Matthew McConaughey, Christian Bale stole the show and the special effects were outa this world !!
