The problem in this country is not "democracy" AKA "majority rule". The problem in this country is minority rule.

More and more, it seems that the faction that can demonstrate the least numeric size gets to decide on what the rules are and how they're to be interpreted.

That's silly, but it's not too far from accurate. What is accurate is that "the minority" will have its putative will imposed on the majority by its proxy, the liberal establishment.

The original intention of the founders -- a Constitutional Republic, which would serve to protect the minorities' right (to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness) from being trumped by the will of the majority, has been perverted into a parody of its former self.

Instead of having government protect the rights of the majority, it's used as a cudgel to bully the majority into obeying the imaginary wishes of the "minority", as expressed by their "spokesmen".

Aw, hell, I'll shut up now. This crap just raises my blood pressure. :(

Actually, it's a great strategy by the RAT party. It's an offshoot of the old "divide and conquer". In their case it's "assimilate all the divided parts and conquer".

This is why we have "minority rule". Individually they are weak but they have combined together to be the all powerful RAT.

Bet the founding fathers never saw this one coming :)
