ITHACA -- Outrage, frustration and a desire for justice united those at an emergency meeting held Friday, to discuss a racially charged assault reported earlier this week.

About 75 local residents gathered at the Southside Community Center to learn how they could support the victim and get their questions about the handling of the case addressed. Several city and county officials were in attendance.

This title (which, for those not sure, is the actual title of the piece) is abhorent.

Can anyone imagine a group of whites being described as "seeking justice" if the races were reversed in this story?

I'm trying to think of the last time a bunch of whites stormed the Bastille over an attack by blacks on a white or whites.................and try as I might, can't think of a single instance.

As this story develops it goes to show that these things are often not as cut and dried as the race-baiters like to portray them.

The police officer who first responded to the scene is being quoted as saying that:

...when he arrived at the scene, he saw Morris [the victim] was visibly upset and trying to move toward two women.... the only information he was given when he was sent to Pete's Grocery was that there was a fight in progress. When he responded and ordered Swansbrough to let Morris go, Morris attempted to get into a physical altercation with Tonya Lynn Swansbrough, 25, and Tori L. Monroe, 23, he said. ..in order to diffuse the situation that Morris was attempting to reenter, he handcuffed her. [The officer] said he told her he wasn't going to hurt her and that she agreed to sit in the back of an open police car.

Furthermore, it turns out that the manager of the Grocery Store that these idiots are protesting is the one who called the police to help the victim in the first place. Despite that:

VanHouten, the nighttime manager at the convenience store...said they were forced to close Pete's Grocery early Friday because of threatening phone calls. Assembled on the sidewalk across from the entrance to the store, protesters carried signs that read, "Your passivity is racism"....

Protesting and threatening the person who helped the victim for not doing enough simply because the victim was black.

Ithaca is the City of Evil.

I love it, they are going to protest "passivity" by standing in the street doing nothing.

I guess they learned their protest tactics from the Many-Thousand-Woman-Stand-Around a few years back.

Heck, if they prove really good at standing around and doing nothing, they could probably get clerical/support staff jobs at some federal bureaucracy in D.C..

And, it's not a hate crime if a black woman runs over a white man, hides him in her garage, leaves him to die a tortured death, and disposes the body in a field with the help of black men.

If so...providing the Ithaca Journal did indeed show both sides, and did so without editting the comments, or leaving out vital parts of the conflict, or making shit up (they do that a lot), then the author's bias has misled me to believe the wrong person started it.

Background: I have been personally involved in several of the events mentioned by the Ithaca Journal, they have reported exactly ZERO of them accurately.

The most significant story was that of a missing girl. We helped find her with our dog. She had walked away from parents who were stoned in a marijuana haze.

The reporter joined the parents and shared some weed while police and state troopers from the area searched for their missing toddler. She was eventually found, but the only two facts the paper had correct was 1) she was missing and 2) she was found. EVERYTHING else was fiction.

Ya know, BLL, one of these days, we'll have to invade the City of Evil, and penetrate their safe haven. Find the right issue, gather up all the Southern Tier, CNY, WNY, and northern PA freepers we can muster, and roll in for a serious counterprotest. Of course, you'd be outing yourself by participating in sch a thing, but the looks on the faces of the unshowered Left when facing dozens and dozens of motivated freepers might very well be worth it ;)

These paranoid loons already think no place is safe for them. That's part of why they are constantly isolating themselves and stifling dissent.

These people will report you to the BATF, use you as a "collaborator" to get a lesser punishment for drug crimes, place you at the scene of the most horrific crimes...

...and if you lead a sqeaky clean life, never owned firearms, nor had so much as a speeding ticket, they'll track you down and plaster your house with pink triangle bumper stickers.
