Great post. Perry is certainly not a conservative. He is barely a republican. Having heard him speak in person, I know why he was once a demonrat. But to get to where he is now, he had to change parties. If Sanchez were'nt the flat out leftist/socialist he is, Perry would hardly be more conservative.
While Perry was a dem back in the 80's, he supported the Gore monster in his initial presidential runs and in some of his environmental views...need we say more?
Look how many people around Bush that are "former" democrats. Then look around Gore to see if you can find any "former" republicans.
