Why not have a Muppet with leukemia, or diabetes, or asthma? These are diseases children are much more likely to have than AIDS and should be addressed far more often than AIDS. This smacks strongly of a political agenda.

The Muppet with AIDS will not be on the US version of Sesame Street. He is being added by the folks who do the South African version. AIDS is, unfortunately, far more common among children in Africa than in the US.
