This "witness" is very questionable. He was subpoenaed to appear. He was told personally by the DA to appear. He flouted the law, in public defiance. He was arrested in due course for failure to appear, among other things, apparently, for which bench warrants were outstanding. What is it about this that you consider "the cops trying to scare him?"

Sounds like you are the one with a "cop problem."
