My religion convinces me that evolutionary theory is wrong, as are government schools. I will fight both and hope to expose an internal flaw or two as I am able.

Permit me to briefly intervene. You're right about getting the government out of the schools, and many on the evolution side agree that this socialistic abomination should be ended as soon as possible.

However, I don't think science (in this case, evolution) and scripture necessarily conflict. I'm sure you're aware of the problem Galileo had with the Church regarding the solar system, which the learned churchmen thought was in direct conflict conflict with scripture. But today, nearly 4 centuries after that ghastly episode, no one reads his bible in a way that conflicts with the solar system. Galileo spelled out his method of avoiding scripture-science conflicts in this document, which is well worth reading, as I think it applies to the evolution issue as well:
Galileo Galilei: Letter to the Grand Duchess Christina of Tuscany, 1615.

Thank you for intervening.

I previously scanned the letter you link to, I will give it much greater attention based on your recommendation. I will also explain why I believe evolution and scripture conflict. Please be patient for a response (several days).
