Are you really confused about what I think? What does the link I gave you in post 1214 tell you about the claim that eohippus is a hyrax?

OK, looking harder at gore's question, he's asking for a starting point. Eohippus/Hyracotherium is a good example. It's a small, rather generalized mammal species that ends up as something very specialized and different.
