I suspected wild animals started smelling something by the 7-10 day, and that's when they created an opening in the abdomen..

wild animals would find it within hours, I reckon. The bug guy said flies would find it within 20 minutes, just based on the natural openings in the body.
To me, this is the only witness, for either side, who seemed intelligent. Maybe that is why I place stock in his expertise.
Body was placed there 16-18 Feb ... bank on it.

You don't near a farm do you Kim? Takes less than 3 minutes for the files to find something dead around here.

Around here the buzzards start circling even BEFORE something dies!!

I suspect (but do not know for sure )That if the body were out in the open when it was "fresh" most of it would have been devored..

I suspected wild animals started smelling something by the 7-10 day, and that's when they created an opening in the abdomen.. Just this week I ran over a squirrel on the way to the store. On my way home...less than an hour later...turkey vultures were munching on it.
