Haven't you seen enough stories in recent years about people being wrongly convicted? Doesn't that cause you to have a careful and discerning eye when it comes to the prosecution and all its work?
It would be different if this was a slam dunk guilt situation, but it's not. That's when the scrutiny should kick in at full force.
Not so. I take the evidence seriously, with a careful and discerning eye. It is compelling, imo. I think at this point in the trial, a few days into the defense case, it is fair to have the opinion that the defense is not successfully refuting the forensic evidence put up by the prosecution.
