I suspected wild animals started smelling something by the 7-10 day, and that's when they created an opening in the abdomen..

"David Westerfield commented the area would be a "great place to dump a body," according to an affidavit released Thursday."
And how many people have made that same statement? PLENTY and doesn't mean everyone of them have dumped a body in the desert, either. There were miles & miles of country roads on the way to Glamis that would have been better than at Dehesa Rd.

During a drive in the desert to show detectives where he camped the weekend a neighbor girl disappeared, David Westerfield commented that the area would be a "great place to dump a body," according to an affidavit released Thursday.Which is just the type of stupid comment a nervous but innocent person would make, IMO.

FresnoDA, I'm sick of this.
I'm considering changing sides. Maybe it would be cool to see DAW strapped to a gurney and put to death.
After all, its POSSIBLE he may have looked at child porn at one time in his life. Its POSSIBLE he was not really drinking and he has the cat like reflexes of someone far, far less than 50 years of age. And its POSSIBLE that his portly body and easy going demeanor DAW has exhibited to other neighbors for several years, was just a trick. Its POSSIBLE DAW even used a disposable plastic sheet and had been molesting kids in the neighborhood for years, although there was never a mention of a past history of him doing so. And its POSSIBLE that DAW has a time machine and knows how to become invisible and that after he was arrested, he became invisible then went back in time and moved Danielle's body to the Dehesa Road dump site. Give me some more time and I can dream up other POSSIBILITIES.
And you know what Fres, the clincher for my re-consideration is it is POSSIBLE that DAW wore an ORANGE HAZMAT suit on February 1, 2002.

I don't know if this qualifies for the thesaurus, but I liked the term someone else coined:
"fishes and loaves pizza".

wild animals would find it within hours, I reckon. The bug guy said flies would find it within 20 minutes, just based on the natural openings in the body.
To me, this is the only witness, for either side, who seemed intelligent. Maybe that is why I place stock in his expertise.
Body was placed there 16-18 Feb ... bank on it.

You don't near a farm do you Kim? Takes less than 3 minutes for the files to find something dead around here.

You know the rule of thumb for most movie crime solving is: "the killer is always the one you least suspect." That could be the case here, but somehow I think that the murderer is going to be the one that is the most obvious and up front. I don't know why.. but I'm looking for him.
Let's take Bill Libby: He was up to no good to begin with because.. (1) He's got no good reason for spending the night at the VD's (if he did) He's got his own house, not far away...
If he did spend the night, this would have given him time to understand the layout of the house... It would have given him time to develop/establish a trusting relationship with the kids. I't a fact that the parents trusted him explicitly with their $assets$. VD's could have trusted him with their kids as well. Obviously,we don't know much more than surface things about the guy. On the surface he must have been a fellow swinger,as well.
Who knows maybe he missed out on all that left over pizza, but arrived just in time for a night cap.....

Yeah, and if you find any SEALED MOTIONS JUST RELEASED, let us all know.

How did a very drunk man get in and out of an occupied strange house without making a noise...bumping into something..losing his balance and touching something ......in short how did a 200+ lb man become more mobile and flexible and thoughtful than a sober 150 lb man in most situations
IF you can tell me that I will consider your position...

I've thought it before when we take a drive through some of the heavily treed areas around here.

"Takes less than 3 minutes for the files to find something dead around here."
This is true. One only has to watch after an animal takes a dump.

Police officer (after arriving at Glamis): Wow, I've never seen so much sand. Do you think someone could hide a body out here?
Westerfield: This would be a great place to hide a body.
Wonder if we'll see the entire transcript, or just 'snippets' again?

But you can bet if he gave a plausible explanation as to how, when or why Danielle got in the MH it would not have been excluded. Would you bet the rest of your life on it?
To: Rheo
After listening to the back road trip to & from Glamis, I thought 'gee, there is miles & miles of secluded spots all along that route.'
To: fnord
Unbelievable. They just took out a snippet, out of context? Why does this not surprise me. I think the press is being very unfair. If you think that's bad, then don't go to the SanDiego newspaper link posted earlier, it'll really make yer blood boil.

Around here the buzzards start circling even BEFORE something dies!!

Just one more thought ..there is no evidence that DW IS an alcoholic...there is evidence he is an alchol abuser.. ( not unusual)....
I have seen Alcohol assessments done on many DWI's that were not found to be alcoholic.
Now he may be an alcooholic..but I would not make that diagnosis till I had all the information..BTW in my experience ..I have seen alot of college ETOH abusers have black outs.....
I think if the DA thought that was posssible he would have followed that premesis...
To: Henrietta
"Please explain; enquiring minds want to know!"Easy. It's called--
THE IMMACULATE ABDUCTION!
To: Henrietta
I made that first line up for illustrative purposes. We have no idea of the context of his statement. Until we see the entire transcript, unredacted, we can all make up our own conversation around that quote :-)
