First, you are out of line with such personal attacks.
Second, Media spin has nothing to do with this case. Westerfield was arrested because police felt they had sufficient evidence, the DA also accepted the evidence as sufficient, the grand jury indicted him on sufficient evidence, and the jury will try him based on that evidence. They will not be influenced by the media either. Westerfield has hired a competent attorney who will use an aggressive defense to try to show doubts about his guilt. Westerfield is being afforded as fair a trial as any other suspect, tried in this country.
As far as evidence is concerned, I will set aside all the suspicious behavior, attempts to sanitize the crime scene, speculation and gossip. The evidence presented thus far by the prosecution does in my opinion make Westerfield guilty.
He certainly fits the pervert profile of a middle-aged white male living alone downloading kiddie porn. Probably upset at not being invited to join the swingers club and looking for a little revenge. He took her, raped her, killed her, and dumped her body like trash.
He will get a fair trial with competent counsel and he will be convicted by an impartial jury. That's the way it should work. That's my opinion and it is as good as any of you Westerfield supporters, so get over it.

Westerfield also attracted suspicion because in conversations with detectives he mentioned that Damon van Dam and Danielle were going to an upcoming father-daughter dance."Only Danielle van Dam could have told him about the dance and only after she had been abducted," police write in one of the affidavits.
This is a good example of their wish to pin everything on him. What a foolish deduction !!!
We have now heard that perhaps Brenda van Dam told DW about it. So how could police have decided that the ONLY way he knew it was from the child herself.
This is another example of customizing interpretations to fit the suspect they want it to fit. It's very disturbing, IMO.
