Hi Louie!

The collages of the Freepers in the Service are quite wonderful. I cannot take any credit for them though...they were done by Billie. I think she is working on Group 10. If you or anyone lurking here has a relative who is serving or has served, please freepmail Billie - she would love to include as many as we have....
And thank you for stopping by and bringing that beautiful photo of the yellow flower. Is that one of of your photos?....

Thanks for the daisy and the nice post about Utah Girl. We are still waiting for her to appear and take a bow.....

It doesn't look like she's posted at all yet today. Hopefully, she'll stop by soon. Sometimes we don't hear from Utah Girl until the evening.

A resident in a seaside hotel breakfast room called over the headwaiter one morning and said, "I want two boiled eggs, one of them so undercooked it's runny, and the other so over cooked it's tough and hard to eat. Also grilled bacon that has been left on the plate to get cold; burnt toast that crumbles away as soon as you touch it with a knife; butter straight from the deep freeze so that it's impossible to spread; and a pot of very weak coffee, luke-warm."
"That's a complicated order sir," said the bewildered waiter. "It might be quite difficult."
The guest replied, "Oh, but that's what you gave me yesterday.

Hi, Mr. SAINT...
A Sunday School teacher asked her class, "Does anyone know what we mean by sins of omission?"
A small girl replied, "Aren't those the sins we should have committed, but didn't?"

A widow recently married to a widower was accosted by a friend who laughingly remarked, "I suppose, like all men who have been married before, your husband sometimes talks about his first wife?"
"Oh, not any more, he doesn't," the other replied.
"What stopped him?"
"I started talking about my next husband."

It's now official.
Hillary Clinton is now the junior Senator from New York; she was sworn in. She used the Clinton family Bible for the swearing in -- you know, the one with seven commandments.

Hi again. Finally got to pop in and want to share this cute email I received. It supposedly has been confirmed:
On July 20, 1969, as Commander of the Apollo 11 Lunar Module, Neil Armstrong was the first person to set foot on the moon. "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind" was televised to earth and heard by millions. But just before he reentered the lander, he made the enigmatic remark "GOOD LUCK, Mr. Gorsky"
Many people at NASA thought it was a casual remark concerning some rival Soviet Cosmnaut. However, upon checking, there was no Gorsky in either the Russian or American Space programs.
Over the years many people questioned Armstrong as to what the "Good Luck, Mr. Gorsky" statement meant, but Armstrong always just smiled.
On July 5, 1995 in Tampa Bay, FLorida, while answering questions following a speech, a reporter brought up the 26 year old question to Armstrong. This time he finally responded. Mr. Gorsky had died, so Neil Armstrong felt he could answer the question.
In 1938 when he was a kid in a small midwest town (Ohio), he was playing baseball with a friend in the backyard. His friend hit the ball which landed in his neighbor's yard by the bedroom windows.
His neighbors were Mr. and Mrs. Gorsky. As he leaned down to pick up the ball, young Armstrong heard Mrs. Gorsky shouting at Mr. Gorsky "SEX?! YOU WANT SEX! YOU'LL GET SEX WHEN THE KID NEXT DOOR WALKS ON THE MOON!"
Not sure this is an urban legend but thought it to be pretty cute and will check it out as we are in an adjoining county of his hometown and where the Armstrong Museum is located.

I didn't realize we are "international" today....Welcome NZ freeper. I am going to a farewell party soon for friends who are moving to NZ to retire early. They say the American Dollar is worth twice as much there so they hope to live really well. The wife is from NZ and has family and friends there. and they plan on coming back to the States for a month each summer.
You mentioned Rintense on your home page...here is a link to a profile we did on her....RINTENSE.
Hope you come back again....
To: daisyscarlett
,,, yep, international Daisy (but don't call me "global" LOL!). I'm on FR every week day. Weekends are busy though, so I usually don't turn up then.
The $NZ will possibly appreciate a little more over the next year as our interest rates rise. There's room for gains.
Thanx for the Rintense page too - I'll check it out. Regards!
