This administration will never admit that 245(i) is a reward for criminals.

Actually it's an incentive now for illegal immigrants to come here and then glom onto a 245(i) greencard by paying $1000. Then they are on the path to permanent residency and citizenship (if they even want it).
245i has exipired for the time being?

Angela Kelley is a head-in-the-sand apologist for Illegals. The could truck-bomb the Capitol, and she'd still find some excuse.

Yeah, President Bush took a shot at extending this bit of the Clinton Legacy this spring, and failed. Now Daschle and the Democrats are taking a tuen at it.
BTW, over a million Illegals have been Amnestied under different incarnations of Section 245(i). Under our immigration quotas, every one of them displaced a law-abiding immigration candidate waiting in line somewhere.
Now that's compassionate conservatism.

We have aid programs and all sorts of things to benefit poor nations. Who pays for these programs? And who says money is the answer?

Who pays for these programs? And who says money is the answer?
If the argument is: "How is this going to help the underdeveloped world?"
Then the answer isn't unlimited immigration of their lowest and stupidest either. (lest they be "robbed" of their best and most gifted)
They have aid already.. That's a completely different issue.
If you want to "help" a poor nation, you don't do it my allowing them to export their dregs. If we are going to have immigration it should be to our benefit.

Hey, that's fine with me. The sooner you clear out, the better. In my prior post I gave no indication that I wanted to leave FR. I simply stated that there are posters, both past and present like myself that have freedom to post to other forums.
I did ask your moderator why my #29 post was pulled. As yet I have not received a FReepmail answering my question.
Instead I get this reply from you that the sooner I clear out the better.
Why is that Jim? I invite you to join us on LibertyPost and LibertyForum. Hey, register on DU if you so choose. It's a free country and a free internet.
I respect your opinions and I hope you respect mine also.

She does have a point though, whoever tries to destroy this county is going to do it regardless of any immigration laws. But as you could see I agree more with Rohrabacher.
To: Brownie74
Well, you are obviously very unhappy with Free Republic to the point of disruption. I really wish you would just leave.
Thanks,
Jim
To: Brownie74
Do it now. I hate long goodbyes.
Thanks again,
Jim

250,000 Salvadorans are up for another extension of *****temporary***** protected status. Yet another stealth amnesty. 25% of El Salvador lives in the USA.
Nothing's as permanent as these BS temporary statuses the INS issues like clockwork. These Central American scam artists know how to play the INS game.

Who pays for these programs? And who says money is the answer? Please, an answer.
IMO, if these third world people don't have the intestinal fortitude to throw off the tin pot dictators, like the USA did, then let them starve.
The truth shall set them free.
To: Brownie74
Don't make this thread about you.

"please an answer"
Okay.
(although it's not the issue here)
I personally have no problem with acts of charity. Money, clean water, roads, technology, trade.. There are many, many ways for us to help a poor country out of it's rut, provided that they really want to of course.
I am however opposed to just hanging a big welcome sign out. I don't think it's the answer and I don't think it's beneficial to us.
Given the choice, I would prefer to teach a man to fish.. as opposed to feeding him for a day.
There.

Liberty Forum traffic is way to thin with too many crazies and unchained libertarians. If you go there you will be "talking among yourselves".
America has turned very soft and liberal and GWBush is about as conservative as it's gonna get. So I try to work with this in mind.

Jim I am totally at a lose for words. I never thought that my post on FR would be considered disruptive. I simply state the truth and as you say in your introduction to FR - I try to have fun doing it.
I also hate long tearful goodbyes so don't worry about me. I'm not going anywhere. Regards.

I personally have no problem with acts of charity.Government is the worst way to distribute charity, you ought to know that by now. Government charity is so susceptable to the evolution of political relativeness there is no way it can be executed properly.
To: dennisw
I agree but it's who you know. There are crazies over there but I never go to the "latest post" threads. Instead go to the "latest articles" threads and choose a responsible poster - you will find it is much the same as FR once you get to know the people.
To: Sabertooth
Don't make this thread about you. I didn't intent to and I had no intentions of doing so. Thanks
To: CWRWinger
You know, quite frankly I think the last thing I need is a lecture from you about a topic completely unrelated to this thread.
You're the one who ran off in that direction to begin with.
