Sounds like this body was dried out high on a mountain, low humidity, warm temps, lots of sun, and then moved to Dehesa and placed under the tree.
If you think DW dumped her over the first weekend then someone else had to move the body to Dehesa after 2 weeks.

Why, John? Dehesa had the dry conditions explaining the state of her body and the very low fly population, and the slowness of beetles to stir.

The temperatures in the desert mountainous area were below freezing at night that week-end and not very warm during the day, either. I know because my husband was camping that week-end and returned early, on Saturday because it was too cold to be enjoyable.
